Yes, thank you very much. Have read quite a bit, just skipping through the bits of interest. Rick doesn't like Gord very much, does he?

He's not a big fan, no. Don't think they'll be sending one another Christmas cards.

    I aren't

    It's a Leeds thing.

    "I aren't doing that"...like nails down a blackboard.

Bear Grylls really annoys me because his programmes are basically faked. Stays in luxury RV or trailer and then nips out to film some daredevil "survival" feat. Typical toff.

I'd love Barry Hearns to promote a Grylls vs Mears fight off. Drop them both in the middle of a wilderness with the same equipment (no mobile for Grylls to phone daddy) and see who can survive the longest. They could have tasks to do as well like make a boat out of a cow and eat poisonous plants without killing themselves.

I agree, but in fairness its a Hull thing that's drifted across to Leeds and York in particular.

There may be two spelling mistakes in this informal message but if you found it incoherent then I suggest your education wasn't actually as good as you thought it was. It was hardly written in hemsworth speak was it.

You can add the faked TV shows to my list of bugs.

It always bugs me when I'm watching something which claims to be reality or filmed in one piece yet it is clearly filmed in sections and with cameras going ahead and telling them what to do.

Examples, Ice road truckers, american chopper and top gear challenges.

It's better to avoid thinking about that stuff

Pretty much everything that has been filmed has had to be staged by its very nature. Even serious documentaries suffer from this. But yes, the Top Gear stuff is cringingly blatant. I wish they would cut out the false dumb routine too. I can't see the humour in a successful journalist and presenter pretending to be an imbecile. One minute Clarkson is talking about the many feats of Brunel, the next we're supposed to think he has trouble dressing himself in the morning.

As far as I'm aware the Top Gear Challenges are real. They have the race, all the pieces to camera are done during the race, but all the arty shots are done later or earlier. The race is real, they just don't collect all the footage at the time.
