    Yep - that's true
Missed chances only makes the opposition grow stronger because they start to believe Barnsley won't score no matter what
Example - Barnsley miss 3 good chances
    Opposition confidence increases
    Opposition go on to score
Opposition then go on to score another
    Barnsley get a consolation goal
Barnsley lose 2-1 ..............and yet have had most of the chances

Missed chances can greatly influence the outcome of a game

    Things to really improve on:
Hammills temperament. Deliberate red card worthy foul leading directly to first goal
Mawson's defending: yet more nor defending from Mawson as he watches the strikers stroll past him.
Hourihanes positioning : defensive midfielder today but offered no protection to the back four.
Heckys decision making: left his subs far far too late. Even in post match comments he mentioned how they made subs and the fresh legs changed the game while we didn't bother and tired.

In reality like it was a friendly against EVERTON and we came away from it having given a good showing and with a scoreline that really flattered them but if we are going to act like toddlers trying to take cheap shots at people who we have an irrational dislike for then we might as well start with all of the above right?

I see a fair bit of Derby. I guarantee you we'll create chances. You're absolutely silly if you think they or Ipswich are in the same bracket as Everton. That's the Everton we just created a hatful of chances against.

We will create chances this season. Do I think Winnall will convert regularly? Yes, I do.

He was very good today, but his finishing wasn't. It happens. It will happen a fair bit. He went games without a goal last season, and the year before. He's a striker. It happens. Chris Martin at Derby went 22 games without scoring from open play last year. Still notched 15.

I think Bradshaw and Winnall are similar. I thought that before I saw them today, together. I'm not saying if that's good or bad. But only one of them missed chances. The one who found space to create them.

I still can't believe we've fans who doubt Sam. Every time he delivers and silences you. But you can't wait to pipe up the first chance you get. I notice his doubters were quiet after Cheltenham t'other day...

    OK then.....

............wanna bet at the end of the season who has scored most goals for us..........Bradshaw or Winnall?

    I'll go a massive £10.

Winnall was not very good today, his involvement in build up play was as per, and his finishing was awful.

He is a streak finisher. Let's hope he goes on a streak.

I really really do hope he nails this league.

Anyone who thinks Winnall and Bradshaw are similar after watching today, knows even less about football then me.

Anyway...the other overrated player was Hourihane. Except that he's morphed around the turn of this year from a player who had nothing more than a decent left peg, into a solid tackling defensive/offensive heartbeat of the team.

One of these two we ought to concentrate on keeping. Hourihane has been immense recently.

His finishing wasn't awful. It was poor. Awful is missing a tap in on the line etc. He missed one very good chance. Wasn't accurate with others. But he was in there, he created his own room/space. He worked hard for the team, played Hammill in once who fudged his lines, played Moncur in again who chose not to shoot. I felt he gave a decent account of himself but lacked his usual clinical touch. And my brain after watching him for two years now cannot justify even thinking about knocking him in the manner that some do. Note I said some, not you. The lad scored 24 times for us last season, some of his stuff was magical. Look at what we achieved.

I saw nothing in him today to start doubting him. I do though appreciate others' opinions.

I don't feel Bradshaw had a bad game. Or a good game. Very much a meh performance for me. Would like to see him work back harder, felt he gave up trying once the ball left his third. However, he showed a good touch once or twice and a willingness to run the channels. Unfortunately didn't get a chance to show what he's about inside the box (that's his game), barring a spooned header over the bar immediately prior to his withdrawal.

I've no interest in having a bet with you. I hope they both score plenty and I'll be supporting them both as I do anyone pulling on the shirt who gives their all. Which I expect they will. Not sure they can be an effective partnership on that one showing, but hope I'm wrong.

As for Conor, I'm glad others are on board now with how I've always seen him. Quite outstanding that he's still here. Huge change in emphasis once he departed today. Our best player.
