Wish I’d had a turkey chase me off from mother shiptons cave. Afore I’d paid to get in. What a waste of time and money. Daft thing is, the family we went with had been in before. I said,” are you mad going in that place twice and not warning me,”

I can’t believe nobody else remembers West Ham rushing the Ponty in the league cup? I think I got hurt more by Barnsley Mesters rushing other way to ‘ave ‘em.. o_O

I was on the terrace that game, near tunnel. . A load of hammers stormed onto the terrace ponty side. They started throwing plastic bottles of p155 into the ponty and tried storming in there. I genuinely can’t remember the outcome. But your memory suggests they didn’t get far.

    No 1979.
1976 was away. Lost 3-0 my first ever visit to West Ham ( not a nice experience) .they signed Anton Otulakowski not long after.

I have a very vivid memory of that 79 game but thought I was younger than I was.

They got far enough to cause Barnsley to take them on. I got knocked down by our lads coming other way. Remember Barnsley used to do those lovely 2 inch player photo button badges? Lost my Ronnie one in the aggro. Found my Macca one, but stepped on & mashed. I think Mike Lester still was still clinging to my Duffel coat..
