They have bought a majority stake in the club with money, they’ll be wanting that back one suspects, given what other owners have got away with, I doubt they’re worried about corporate law.

They do have a majority stake in the club. They had a majority stake in Nice and sold. I'm not sure why you think its a good thing to keep these owners if you also have any such inkling (without foundation, obviously, just to avoid confusion that) that anything other normal operations would occur if the fans wanted them out.

My personal view is i'm highly disappointed with them in how they have burned a head coach which had fans behind him and gave us a fantastic 12 months. I think its fair to say that there may never have been a team so young, so inexperienced that has been expected to compete and compete successfully at championship level, so to expect that now and to sack him for seemingly asking for a little bit of experience to help the short term.... well that puts their merit of them owning us into sharp question.

We'll see how the days and weeks pan out, but if it continues in this ilk followed by absolute hyperbole and no remorse or willingness to accept they have been complicit in the hand Stendel was dealt... well, as I said before, my support will not be absolute and unconditional.

Absolute tripe. Just tell us what they have actually brought to this club apart from initial purchase (which was probably bought against loans) and taken us backwards by insisting on the purchase of a team full of cheap, inexperienced youth in the championship please.
God almighty, thought you were an educated man, please take your head out of the sand

Yeah? And who's going to buy it from them. About a quarter of efl clubs are up for sale in one form or another.

    1) Took out a loan in the summer despite their wealth, that will probably be paid back through player sales so the interest rate doesn't come out of their own pocket.

    2) Reduced the ground capacity by knocking down part of the West Stand.

    3) No sign of an increase in commercial revenue from using their worldwide contacts.

    4) No sign of them getting Oakwell back to full away capacity.

    5) No sign of them making sure our big home games get played at 3 pm on a Saturday, made worse than even a local friendly in the summer was made a dinner kick off.

    6) Seen off one of our most successful bosses ever.

    7) Appointed one of our worst bosses ever.

    8) On course to see their second relegation in just three seasons.

    9) Make recruitment much tougher with silly restrictions on personnel.

    10) Sell key players who have at least a few years left on their contract such as Potts and Moore.

All bad and negative for this football club, thank you. Thought I was going mad.

    1. they brought Daniel Stendel to the club.
    2. they got Alex Mowatt and Woodrow on longer term contracts.
    3. they got us new hand dryers and hot water in the bogs.
    4. What, on God's earth, makes you think I'm an educated man? I may not even be a man.

    Lol! Hand dryers I forgot!

Sadly I imagine mowatt and Woodrow will be sold in all probability in January.

I just don’t trust these owners one iota. I judge actions over words and there’s been too much of the latter from the outset and nowhere near enough of the former from this syndicate of business successful foreign ‘investors’.

Yeah it's hard to think of good they have done. Their half arsed attempt at a fanzone is poor as well and the only people who deserve praise for it are the volunteers who do a great job at making everything run smoothly.

Difficult to claim they're running the business badly. I think we all agree the accounts are in the black. If they continue to be successful with their signings - buying cheap young players and selling at a profit - there's no reason to believe they won't continue to keep the business profitable.

Even if we lose a considerable percentage of the fan base it's pretty much irrelevant as the money made from ticket sales is insignificant compared to TV revenue and their successful player trades.

As a business we appear to be doing very well. The priority of a business is the needs of the shareholders not the customers. If fielding a successful football team isnt as profitable as buying and selling players then what they're doing is the very opposite of poor business practices.

Wow, Hykehamtyke and the usual suspects are loving this. Never seen them post so much. Posting ***** and then following it up with no substance to this, you can't make it up.

Tell me who the **** they're going to sell to?

Absolutely nobody is lined up to take over as nobody wants to unless they take the same path as the current owners.
Why would there be, although I love my town dearly it’s not exactly a hotbed of cultural interest awash with business opportunity with a massive untapped fan base? The owners in this particular moment in time have ****** up, not by much, but they have ****** up. This cannot be changed until January where I expect the mistakes to be addressed. Unfortunately then, we may get priced out of targeted players even further as other clubs will know we’re desperate or we’ll get lumbered with panic buy garbage has beens.
As for a new manager, if we snatch at one of the “experienced” doylums from the managerial merry go round that rewards failure with another job then again I can see us being bogged down with old crap players.
As a club we need to evaluate both short and long term strategy and find a way to tweak our current model. Shame about Daniel who was absolutely fantastic and I would have back in a heartbeat but the club needs to get back on it quickly as there’s work to do.

Could have loads of talent but as soon as it starts to show from anyone they will be gone in the following transfer window.
