RE: I think he thought he'd solved one of those problems with signing Hume

Whilst he has tightened the defence to the tune of 7 goals we have created less and scored 7 less.

    Progress no. Stationary.

RE: As long as SD gets his tactical advice from Andrew Lodge

How did Andrew Lodge get brought into this :D

Daveys tactics worked in a few games but failed in alot more!!! But like i said in my initial post - For the last say dozen games i thought he got it about right. When it really mattered you could say. The heat was on and he he managed to scrape through and in my opinion thats whats saved his job. If we were still playing JCR in the middle and Boggy out wide for example and still somehow managed to stay up - i still think he would have gone. But it was like the penny finally dropped and he found the right tactics.

And before anybody starts calling him stubborn for doing wot the fans had seen for weeks - All managers are stubborn. Prime example look at Wenger at Arsenal at the minute. You try and get him to sign a established player or two that they are crying out for!! Its part of being a manager. if every manager did exactly what the fans wanted him to do then what would the game be like!
