If, over these 13 games, things were getting progressively worse, I think I'd probably agree with you. But for my money we're slowly but surely improving. There's still a few things wrong, particularly in terms of substitutions and defensive tactics late in the game, but if we'd got a few more results in August and September, I don't think anyone would have a problem with how we performed in October.

I think there's still some anger about how bad we were, and we were poor, rather than a judgement about where we are now. We outplayed a very good Reading side, hit 3 against 'boro and were in complete control until a mental last 10 minutes, and got a draw against our local rivals who usually always beat us. Away from home we ultimately lost at Leicester and QPR, but the performances sounded OK and there'll be teams who have spent far more than us with genuine aspirations of automatic promotion who will come a cropper at both those grounds.

See where we are in a month. If we continue to improve I hope you'll acknowledge it, but if we sink back to how we were previously then feel free to go nuts. Well, feel free to go nuts whatever happens, no one is stopping you, but if we do start playing poorly and getting hammered again then I think your complaints will be legitimate. At the moment I think we're in the process of turning the corner and as such we should see what happens.

Last season the home game against Nottingham Forest was the beginning of the end for Hill (as far as my backing and support went). This season I have overlooked so many woeful performances to keep my support of Flicker but the second half performance on Saturday really was unacceptable and could be the beginning of the end for Flicker. Unless he improves things very quickly then I don't think he will be here too much longer.

I think the rejection was far more to do with the nigh on impossible situation we were in at that late stage of the season mesen more than who we are tbh. If flicker goes before Xmas then I reckon we wouldn't get those rejections, just my thoughts anyhow....

So lets say we sack a manager who was overwhelmingly seen as the messiah last season, on the back of a win and two draws in the last four, do you think that makes us an attractive proposition for a prospective manager?

I'm not sure I'd be overly keen on accepting a job where (insert huge number) of previous post-holders have been sacked within the last (insert very small number) years.

So in conclusion Moanman, we should only offer a 13 game rolling contract to any future manager?

Took just 6 points from the next 13 matches after though.
