So your saying that someone on lifetime parole, for murder, commited armed robbery in 2010, since which he has been convicted and released within in 2 years? Because none of that makes sense

Yes I think that's right. I've also read that they only have minimum contact with their families because of this. I've also read that there's only Jon Venables sister that has had anything to do with him since he was recalled to prison in 2010. I doubt very much that prior to re-arrest he would be living with family or even allowed to under parole conditions.

His solicitor at the time of the tragedy is still in contact with him - he thinks he's damaged and still a danger to the public. Prison best place for him

 

I just read that they did get new identities after the parents of both boys received death threats prior to the trial nearly 20 years ago.
They were both released in 2001. Venables was never imprisoned for armed robbery, I think Nightmare is confusing him with someone else, dangerously so.

It's a very long and concise summary of the case, including interviews with the pair, graphic detail of the attack, and a lot more.
I found it hard to read a lot of it so don't click on the link if you're that way out.


I've also read a lot of books, and other online articles about the case, and articles about Venables since his initial release, and nowhere have I ever come across a charge for 'armed robbery'.
He was charged with affray, possession of cocaine and downloading and distributing 57 indecent images of child pornography. All since his release. He was returned to jail in 2010 after being given a 2 year sentence.

That's about as much as I know. Although, if given 2 years for it 2010, he'd have surely been released by now? So if not, I'm assuming he's either reoffended again, or wasn't deemed ready for release.

IMO, he was never ready for release. The books and articles I've read about him in particular, paint a picture of a warped mind and that of one with unimaginable sexual tendencies.

He should be on a nonce wing, until his last breath.


I read a lot about criminal cases such as this, and it just beggars belief the kind of humans that live among us.

Weirdly, Venables was born on the same day, same month, same year as me.
