I've no problem with campaigns aimed at putting pressure on the owners to be better owners, but I can't get behind a campaign where their only line is "we have a buyer lined up, can't tell you who though...". Just generates false hope within the desperate fans and anger towards the people who know it's clearly not genuine.
Seems pretty obvious to me that if you are a serious consortium of professional business people planning on a multimillion pound takeover of a football club the first thing you’d do is set up a Facebook page called “Conway out”….seems perfectly legit to me
Right not getting involved in and discussion but my two penneth for what it’s worth, Loko & Gally did a great job last night and I don’t know the reason for removing them from the group as unity is needed in my opinion! Are the group credible ? Don’t know yet all will be revealed but some of the comments on this thread and the previous one are pretty poor ! I am reserving judgement until their hand is shown if indeed an alternative ownership model is going to come forward but the Group has my full backing something has to happen the owners are killing the club simple as that, yes the pandemic will have created some apathy but the model the lack of comms, the West Stand, match day experience or lack of is driving fans away in their hordes, is the group titled correctly? Probably not .
Not getting involved... Gets involved And if you think some of the comments on here are pretty poor, you must be absolutely horrified by some of the comments on the Conway Out Facebook group.
You'd be buying the same thing as we do with out recruitment.. potential. Which in reality is as good as ... just a maybe.
I think the one thing we all have in common mate, is that we all agree there's major problems at the Club. Fowk just have different ways of responding to it. I'm trying not to be too critical of the Facebook group. End of the day they're passionate fans who want the best for the Club. I've decided not to join it for now, and can't see the discussion so can't really comment on it. If a plan emerges that puts us in a better position though, I'm sure people will get behind it. Even the group's biggest critics.
It will be clear pretty quickly if no plans or money men are behind it. Something has to start from somewhere. And to dismiss it outright from the off isn't something I think should be done. Neither of course do I agree that the Supporters trust be kicked out of the group either. But that's what happens in a world where instant online access is available. I'm certainly following it with interest.
who knows. maybe there's a dream team consortium of Beckett, hayselden, investment room, bapp, burrows & palmer cooking up a grand plan. maybe it's bob and kickstarter. we'll find out eventually
Of course we’ve been here before haven’t we , a failed bidder for the club backs a group of disillusioned supporters to split the fan base and undermine the current owner . It’s a classic Cryne tactic …… Facebooks AFC !!!
