This is really depressing

    Why was a ten year old boy...

    "earching for tadpoles" without any kind of adult supervision.

    As I understand it, there was no sign of the boy WHEN THE PCSO's arrived.

    It's a tough one, but a uniform does not make them invincible....or able to perform miracles. The inquest found that he was "most probably already dead" by the time they arrived.

    Tragic case in any event

    Didn't realise it was the right time of year for tadpoles!

    Well the parents are questioning why people didn't go into the water, but as you say why a 10 year old and his younger sister were there by themselves they'll obviously try to skirt around.
