Can folk point out where these songs, that apparently DON'T get off the ground, are started? Forgive me but from my vantage point songs all start from gangway 1/2 in the Ponty. The rest clearly don't get the backing for them to be sung long enough for us in 1/2 to hear them. Sorry, expect Come on you Reds at corners from gangway 5 area every so often. Apologies if many started in east lower but sound doesn't carry to us with the acoustics bad.
How abart..? We're not funded by them parachutes Yet you aren't fit to polish our boots Cos Keith is king and Keith is clever Education and endeavour!
Re: Grimsby's "FISH" chant is the best in English football. Molly Malone, I've mentioned this before but no-one remembers, maybe Snap Tin might. From the Allan/Norman hey day. The ponty would rumble with it like a Welsh rugby crowd.
Yeah and he had one the best performances by a visiting keeper ever. Kept them in the game and put them through.
Re: Grimsby's "FISH" chant is the best in English football. i seem to remember that one i think the words were about same as original song but starts with "in barnsleys fair city" instead of dublin. also can remember they did an adaptation of "her eyes they shone like diamonds which manure fans had adapted first and we (and tbf) most other sets of supporters took on.
Re: Grimsby's "FISH" chant is the best in English football. ha ha ha you won't get a rise out of me with that one
Re: Grimsby's "FISH" chant is the best in English football. "And she push her wheel barrow, through streets broad & narrow singing - (clap clap - clap clap clap - clap clap clap clap clap-) THE REDS!!!" It went.... Was a standard, fallen out of memory
