Wow.I bet they'll heavily regret allowing that to get into the public domain. The sports science bit I get completely, though it's interesting that the presentation heavily acknowledges that the players all think it's ********. But to document a 'philosophy' in that way? Not only is it open to ridicule, but it gives a yardstick to measure progress and performance against. And on the few bits that make any sense (as sentences I mean, not theories), Lee's team looks a country mile away from implementing his plan. From which you can only conclude he's not very good at coaching them. Fingers crossed for some more positive signs soon.
Lots of people mix up Barnsley and Burnley but thinking he was landing a job with Barcelona. ....that's got to be a first
What worries me more than this dossier is how it has got into the public domain? Leaked from someone at the club trying to make Johnson look foolish? If people within the club think the manager is a joke then he has serious problems. Unless it was leaked to make the public see how clever he is. In which case it has back fired badly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Too many folk getting over excited in this thread. Jay's already covered it in his post just now, but this isn't a presentation designed for footballers, it was made for the audience it was presented to. Wouldn't surprise me if it was one of the modules of a coaching badge either. No different to a big company mapping out some bizarre strategy (bizarre to the front line), but that strategy never being briefed in that way. Needs to be a bit of calm adopted by some.
Gonna do a run of 5000 stickers with it on and get a load of A4 sheets printed up for the next game. Can I put them in Redfearns? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Have you not got an Adam Lyth century to watch? Instead of putting me on the spot? You best ask Gally ......
I Would buy a t shirt with the philosophy pitch markings on, would be class thing to wear, better than the muck they are selling in the shop,
Yes. It is. Just hope folk don't read too much in to it and use it as a stick to beat him with. Some hope of that like.
Let's not get too bogged down with this. It's comedy genius of the highest order. I'd love to see a group of pro's sat in a meeting looking at this presentation, then leaving the room absolutely pissin themselves on the way out!
It's exactly the type of football everyone wants to see but takes years to deliver. And we don't give people years. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Personally, I buy in to the playing philosophy. I don't think the wellness data of ourselves as spectator stakeholders would be unduly placed into exertion (team or individual) phases if we do not adhere to it. We should objectively be able to attain a positive belief in the system, to USE but not PLAY our individual brilliance. The importance of the 1-4-4-1-1 is something we've all seen team sport group formation protocol trigger to increase probability of opposition turnover in central (and zone 14) plays. And when there's hockey sticks involved, it's clear a quick press and seven second release transition must encompass dynamism, short and long distance, with safe zone retension mechanisms. The monitoring of experience and knowledge is an inconsistent participle in the variable qualitative spread of fan-engagement customer outlook realization. We should remember this. It shoukld be clear to see that the audit performance enhancement zone reduction interlink is maximized for potential resource management analysis scheduling (HR or RPE 10/5 dependent on specificity criteria), opportunity protocol development redevelop recovery strategy, with a contingent diagnostic cardiovascular reduction, and subjective percentage muscular atrophy big word big word big word BIG WORD BIG WORD BIG WORD (Are you impressed yet? Please be impressed). Anyhow, I'm off for a urine sample now my soft skills can be utilized. I've had a few too many explosive repeated actions in tactical stimulation. You know what it's like on a Sunday morning, cumulative load and all that.
Do you want to elaborate on that? Are you suggesting me sharing a publicly accessible article on here is wrong? Ignoring that for a moment, I appreciate - as Jay points out elsewhere - this is a presentation piece. You can pay a website somewhere (not sure of the name off hand) a small fee to watch LJ and Nathan present this piece, at a science in football meeting. I remember seeing a link to it a while ago, but I couldn't be arsed paying to watch it. Glad I didn't. So aye, it's not purely something shown to our squad. However, the vast majority of its content is fed to the players. It's LJ's and BFC's philosophy. And if you succeed in pulling off the targets referenced in it, you're onto a winner. It needs time though. You can't write all that out, recruit lots of players and wave a magic wand. It's merely a dream. Even long term. It's just idealism. It's very funny though. And because it's out there for all to see, opposition managers can access it. Supporters can too. And so it leaves you wide open.
Not only is it out there publicly but its out there because Lee Johnson explicitly gave the website permission to upload it. Something that some others who gave presentations chose not to allow.
