You can, if you are not careful, become too defence minded. Over-concentration on defensive matters means that your attack suffers. In my view, our biggest problem for both defense and attack, is that we do not keep the ball well enough. I see all Togwell's good defensive work ruined by then belting it into the far distance followed by another 5 minutes trying to win it back again. I also hear criticism of Ferenczi for not keeping the ball, but how can he be expected to keep it when the delivery to him is so poor, and when there is no team mate near him. For this reason, it is my hope that we strengthen central mid-field first.

 

A winger with defensive ability and good stamina?

Interesting that the side Davey ended up with, both in formation and personnel more closely matched what we set off with than anything. - And afore you start, that's surely testimony to davey's management ? The fact he got more out of that side than the prev manager</p>
