    thats all well and good

and I do agree with you to an extent but this is coming from a man who used to go on and on and on about AR not been a good manager despite winning us promotion, every other day you would post about AR faults even before the season had kicked off

    Pot kettle.....

We weren't exactly adrift at the bottom of the table when AR was sacked, the impression that Shepherd and Cryne gave at the time was that just staying up wasn't good enough.I'm not one of the panickers but lose to Derby and Blackpool and Davy's position will be under pressure, the jurys out on Davys ability . My guess is if we are at the bottom come October, Donny and Washday at home could ,if we don't win them,be the end of him

RE: thats all well and good.........big difference between AR and SD

What I said about AR was that he was a good motivator of players but he was reluctant to strengthen the squad
i.e. " my lads are good enough for this league"

WELL INTO THE SEASON and sitting 2nd from bottom..........the board of directors finally had enough of AR and pulled the plug
This has put an enourmous pressure on whoever followed AR to build a squad and build it fast to keep us in the Championship
It has caused the following manager (SD) to more or less panic buy
Hence about a third of the signings have not worked out..........which was expected by the board of directors and the manager
SD at a public meeting told the meeting if two thirds of the signings are successfull we will have done well - I heard this myself........and as it happened he was about right

SD is still building that squad of players.........but I'm sure everybody would agree we have a much much better quality of player now than we had 18 months ago. For me, we are still weak in the forward line and will not progress much untill this problem is solved but SD and PC know this

Right which 2 thirds of this squad are good enough to finish in a mid table team...

    What a load of tosh...

the main reason that fans are disillusioned with Simon Davey is tha despite having "significant funds" at his disposal we face our 3rd consecutive season under his reign in a relegation battle.

Coupled with his ability to drum players out o the club with his petty "I am the boss attitude".

Yes, the downturn in opinion on St Davey is all down to this bulletin board and nothing else.
