Cheers, Craig. I was trying to find that but got sidetracked listening to Keith Hill on Rochdale Player. "I want to give this club back to the supporters.. it's not a must win game tomorrow.. we can impact on the top half of the division, but we need the supporters to understand there's a long and short term plan in place now, the plan I had the last time I brought success to this football club.." Still talking *****. At least Flitcroft backs up his *****.
Weird looking at some of those teams we played and where they are now. Only 11,701 for a home tie against Charlton with 5 games remaining, l suppose some fans were still shouting about "not wanting to go up"...
I remember that. The referee (Gurnham Singh I think) said in an interview after the game that it had gone in off Steve Davies' head when to everybody else in the world it had missed his head by about three inches.
Love Scotland's attitude there...I agree, he's coming off the bench fresh and eager. It's a weapon in our arsenal. I agree with starting him on the bench.
I used to play in local leagues around Wolverhampton and the West Midlands Regional League around the time that Gurnam was an up and coming referee learning his trade. He was a really nice fella, happy to have a laugh and a smile during the game, always willing to talk about his decisions and admit afterwards when he may have got one wrong. I don't remember him discussing this one, or smiling or laughing later in the game much after this howler though!
