Half of the fans were ****ing over them last season. I'm not saying they are quality players I'm saying we were good enough to stay up last season and the points we accumulated with them last season would have us easily up this.

its the **** football were playing this season not the players. Why the **** did we replace a manager who refused to pay the required style that was successful the previous season with a manager who play the exact same.

It doesn't take an idiot to see these players don't have the quality to play fancy football. But it does take an idiot. To fecking try it week in week out

Agree with most of what you say but to say we didn't have quality in the promotion side is miles off mate. We are talking about quality to do well in this league and we had it in abundance.

    You didn't say that.

No team regardless of how much quality they have achieves anything on quality alone.

That promotion squad was full of quality players.

    Quality. Quality. Quality.

Good. Your responses didn't sway me at all.

    Apt username.

    Read the fookin post!

Those players did not get us to the Premier League by their sheer quality!!

They got there largely by all the other things I outlined. And Wilson stumbled upon the means by which the individual parts became a great team.

The team was thus quality by virtue of their fitting together.

The promotion team had quality and tactical awareness. Not one of our current squad would even make the bench. If you think differently then I give up.

If at the end of last season I was told we would have a squad including, Mellis, Cywka, McCourt, Jennings, Ramage, Cranie, Steele, O'Grady, Hunt and Pedersen (who looked **** hot at the Euro U21's), I would have been absolutely delighted. I would have thought that on paper, those players would have took us to mid-table. Alas the game isn't played on paper. I think we do have the quality, certainly as much as last season and the last day salvo at Plymouth. What we do not have is the passion, desire, organisation and team spirit to stay up. It's a bunch of individuals devoid of any collective plan.
