    RE: reid replaced mcindoe?

He started 5 games on wing after Mcindoe left. Only when Mccann became established and Howard moved out to the left did he become used more as a sub and up front

You are right that we are stuck with what we have got, at least for now. However, in my view this is still a debate worth having because it is now a debate about the performance of the board rather than the managers. If we still go down, in spite of the change in managers, who will be to blame other than the board. I hope that we stay up and if so I will be the first on here to offer my congratulation to the board for their courageous action in getting rid of a successful manager who was not performing at the higher level. If we go down, I will be the first on here calling for the resignation of Gordon Shepherd.

    in that case...

have the debate at the end of the season

However, I couldn't disagree more about relegation - I fully expected us to struggle this season and that is what has happened. However, if the difference between relegation and staying up (may well be as close as a single goal) is the difference between complete success and complete failure, you might as well use a magic eight ball to determine your opinion!

I'd like to think the club is being run (board-financial stability and manager-stay up at any cost) to a strategy for the season and I'm happy enough if that works, but in the long term many things must change.

The only important thing now is getting as many points as possible, however possible.

I have a doubt, so it isn't without a doubt. AR doubted it too, but wasn't trusted with it - we'll never know.

No-one can speculate about what may or may not have happened, hence why the debate is pointless.

Playing Devils advocate, it was also pointless when GS used it as an excuse to sack AR, we'll just have to hope he got it right in the long run

When I read GS's bit in the Chron this morning

My first thought was "Who are you trying to convince? The fans or yourself?"

    Exactly my thoughts

Stupid pointless argument, grasping at straws.

Lets all just get behind the team on a Saturday and do everything we can to help them along. Can argue about the managers all day long but the current manager is here to stay (whether we go down or not) so lets just give him our support.
