What a load of crap...

There's wanting the best and just having some sort of personal vendetta against someone, which seems to be the case with you and Rob Knowles, although that has calmed down a bit recently. And in my opinion the merchandise has got better recently than what it has been.

Obviously they should put you in charge. I'd love to criticise every aspect of your work.

what made me laugh is that of the 7 points you put up, none of them are relevant.

    1) go on the pitch to stab some one? no they don't.

    2) go on the pitch to cut someones tongue out? no they don't.

    3) go on the pitch to play hand slappy ? no they don't.

    4) go on the pitch to get clippings off Bobby Hassells toe nails ? no they don't.

    5) go on the pitch to plant cauliflowers in the centre circle ? no they don't.

    6) go on the pitch to stone someone to death? no they don't.

    7) go on the pitch to show passion for the club, congratulate the players, shake the players hands and generally have a fun time ? again, no they don't.

people run on the pitch flailing their arms, stand still, realise they're just stood on grass looking lost, and run back off.

now, what the hell is the point in that?

RE: I'd rather see the young fans run on the pitch than a stale lap of honour..........

yeah, but how many times over the years have we had a decent season, and the players have deserved a lap of honour, only to have a minority of idiots spoil things by running on to the pitch, just because they think it's big and clever to do so

I'm trying to understand the thinking behind it, that's all. My attention span extends beyond five days.

I'd like to hear more about how you apply the concept of adverse selection to prove that this message board doesn't represent the thoughts of the mainstream support.

    RE: Lap of honour.....???

As a young supporter in the late seventies and early eighties, there was a pitch invasion by the kids at the end of most games, not just the final home game. I have loads of videos from that era and they pour on good naturedly regularly for no apparent reason. Nobody tut-tutted or batted an eyelid. You will see many examples of it on the footage I have uploaded to YouTube. One of my uploads starts with all the kids on the pitch after the game against Burnley when Banksy hit the free kick to win it 3-2. It wasn't an end of season game, just a dramatic late winner televised by ITV for the Sunday highlights show. Kids have always wanted to get near the players and be seen on TV. I've rarely done it myself (the exceptions being Middlesboro - when we thought we were in the play offs - and Bradford). One thing I will agree on; they shouldn't taunt the away fans and they should get off as quickly as they got on. Otherwise no harm done.

    My apologies....

I didn't mean adverse selection. I meant sampling risk. I'm getting all my work mixed up, and have thus made myself look more of a tit.

I'll not tell you how I am applying sampling risk as I don't want to patronise you.
