Its very difficult to comment if you havent been in the situation. And I agreed you didnt comment on the situ. The problem is everyone thinks they know what is right and wrong. But till your there you never know.

well well well Conkotyke just turned on the evening news and the first words I heard were in relation to the S.Y. police situ. The family of the victim have now said that they hope it is'nt racism

 

Doesnt surprise me. A Conservative front bencher has been sacked to today for daring to discuss the 'race' issue. Admittedly I think it was a deserved sacking as he must have very poor judgment to think that it would not cause a massive hoo haaa. I think the sacking was justified on the poor judgment alone. Nothing to do whether his comments had any validity.

I understand and fully appreciate what you say but I have over the years become quite cynical(sp) Indeed, it was only about three months ago that I was racially abused by a car park attendent at B.F.C. but could'nt do anything about it because another very gobby female car park attendent who was yards away and who could'nt have heard the guy jumped to his defence and said the guy never uttered a word of racism. case lost. thats life I'm afraid.

 

I wasnt being any kind of an apologist for racists!! Quite the opposite! But stifling any kind of debate on issues of race plays straight into the hands of racists!
