If it takes us 10 hours, it should be about 2,330. That's what Runkeepers predicting when I import the route.

My admiration to those doing it. No doubt it'll be tough, but rewarding.

All I'll say (easy for me as I can't do it) is it'll not be as hard as having to sleep rough every nite thro a bitter winter.

Good luck lads and lasses (not in a Stephanie Hirst way). Rezpekt

That's a fantastic point and something we all need to keep in mind when it starts to get tough,

What's a growler? Hear this mentioned a lot - according to urban dictionary, it's parlance for a lady part...which tbh is what I thought it was anyway! Please shed some light...

Destroying the countryside again eh? Make the most of it, it will all be sold off
I'll be chucking something in before the weekend, ....respect to all involved and hope you all make it in one piece and the Reds give you something to forget your aches with...

    Growler in Bradford too.

As for this walk, the more I think about it the more barmy I think we are.

Thanks to those on here who've donated. Will go towards getting a taxi from Birdwell.

Seeing if I can get a lift in - if not then cheers for the offer. It's more an issue of leaving my Car in Barnsley if anything, and the other half won't drive me in as it's a 'stupid idea'...

It better piss it down now. Invested in some waterproof walking trousers and waterproof spray for mi boots. Nice bloke at Go Outdoors, knocked another 10% off when I mentioned about the Chesterfield walk.

    Where's this Go Outdoors?

My plan was to walk in shorts & trainers but I get the feeling that's not going to cut it...
