Re: Has it now become obligatory Is 33 a young lad? I want Bobby to stay but by announcing he's been asked to take a 70% he's forcing himself into a corner. If I was Flitcroft I wouldn't be budging on that offer now. At all.
Re: Has it now become obligatory I'm hoping that 'prism' leads to the unexplained disappearance of Matthew Murray from Twitter.
Re: Has it now become obligatory The exit of Hassell and Steele has been on the cards since Hill and Flicker came in. Hi Viz Vests, bullying etc etc. Its why John Stones could not wait to leave. Quick Edit: Flicker will live and die by his results and the nature of football is that if we don't struggle without these two they wil be forgotton, conversley if we do he will start to feel the pressure ratcheting up on him.
While we know Luke's value, unless an outsider has watched him play game by game they will only see a keeper who was part of a defence that narrowly missed relegation. They won't see that he missed the first 3 months of the season and joined at team in complete free-fall after a problematic long term injury. Once he settled back in the side, he was a major factor in our upturn in form. He's a tricky one Luke, he's not a reserve keeper anymore and club's will be wise to that. He's a mature lad and team captain, he's a first choice keeper not one you put on the bench.
Except for the frankly silly comment that he's too old at 28. Whilst creaming over signing TK up on a two year deal.
Re: Has it now become obligatory So we've got a new conspiracy then - John Stones, the player who publicly & privately thanked Flitcroft & Hill and came back to pick his stuff up and ended up in tears left because of a systematic culture of bullying at the club. It's f.cking brilliant this.
Re: Has it now become obligatory Its why he didn't come back on loan. Not much point going any further except to say it was Hill's perogative and it is now Flicker's perogative who they sign, keep, release and play. All the rest is opinion and conjecture. Or FACT. Hill died by virtue of his results and Flicker will live and die by the same mistress. Like I've posted elsewhere, he will be villified if we are crap and lauded if we aren't with these two either forgotton or looked back on with misty eyes as Jimmy Mac costs us another goal... I'm not really too bothered what happens. I'm more excited about the fanzine and my Keith Hill column that you said I could write. I think I'll call it Notes from a Friend?
Re: Has it now become obligatory So we had a loan offer accepted for John Stones and he turned down the opportunity to come back because he (or his old mates) were being bullied? Really? I'm writing the Keith column. And laminating the page.
Re: The players Unfortunately since the advent of social media this is the way things are going. I'm afraid that there's no getting the genie back in the bottle.
Yeah, you're right, mate But just because something is the new way, doesn't make it the better or correct way. I know, I know. I'm a dinosaur.
Re: Has it now become obligatory That's the biggest load of tripe I've ever heard. Knowing 'Stuansy' personally I can assure you that yes, we did make a loan bid and the reason it was rejected was because he had been told he had some game time in the premier league coming his way, before being told he could come home 2 week before the EPL season ended for his resting EoS programme. I really have no idea where people pull these stories from. Given half the chance I know for a fact JS would come back to the club on loan, 100%.
Re: Has it now become obligatory "Its why John Stones could not wait to leave." You've been fed some grade 1 bullpizzle there mate.
