Leave the lad alone.. you were all saying Conor Hourihane was rubbish etc. One day he will prove you all wrong.

Frieser and Chaplin have been terrible but nobody jumps on their back

It's pretty obvious you are connected to him and you certainly inferred that he was struggling mentally. If thats the case then I wish him all the best but he may not be too chuffed with you telling fans that.

None of those comparisons make sense.

I loved Conor so it wasn’t “everyone”. And people that did give him stick, it certainly wasn’t for a season and a half.

Frieser has only been in the country a few months. Chaplin had a purple patch last season and his goals played a big part in us staying up. They both do take a bit of stick still though.

I really hope Thomas does come good for us but he has a lot of improving to do.

I disagree on Chaplin. I think he's been sound for us this season and last but he's had constant criticism Frieser hasn't convinced me yet but that doesn't mean he won't.

Well when it's obvious you know him it kind of therefore suggests you might know more than everyone else doesnt it?

Look, go on any football club BBS and you will find fans criticising players, it is nothing new. I suggest you avoid threads about him if it is going to wind you up so much. Chill out.

Are you saying suffering poor mental health is delusional or are you admitting that Thomas does in fact suffer from it? I also think other people's mental health issues (@Stephen Dawson) shouldn't be mentioned on here without them stating it themselves - very damaging and disrespectful.

Thomas had more than enough chances. He’s not going to make it. Must be almost 40 starts and done nothing by now. How you can compare him to Hourihane is laughable.

Cheers mate. I was merely making a quip about Thomas being a poor footballer and admit it wasn't the best way of wording it. I agree without substance the other posts regarding Thomas' mental health are pure conjecture. If it's proven (not that I want it to be I'll gladly apologise to the player and club if need be).

As for my own mental health. I'm suffering with my work life balance at the minute and missing George so much it hurts whilst I'm at work. I've requested a flexible working hearing so hopefully that goes in my favour.

I've been in some dark places during lock down but thankfully petty point scorers haven't brought me down.

And you're entitled to question his performance 100% without needing to apologise. I dont think anyone has the right to disclose someone's mental health issues on here without the person affected mentioning it first, and that's why I have a problem regarding the other poster.

I hope things work out for you with George and work/life balance, and never feel the need to have to explain your own mental health. It's bang out of order to be honest.

Chaplin was quite decent, and far better than Woodrow this evening.

I was really pleased when we signed Thomas and I still believe there is a decent player in there. I'll stand corrected, but I don't think we've seen much of him in his best position, although with Ismael in charge we may get more out of him. Probably needs a run of games.

All that said, he wouldn't make my starting eleven at the moment. When he's come off the bench, we've looked weaker for it, whereas with Palmer it's the opposite.

Jury's still out for me, but Ismael must see something in the lad, so what would I know...?

There's definite glimpses of talent from Thomas. For example he can beat a man at times and he's had a few efforts from range which he's gone close with. He also works hard, which is a must for this team. However, the majority of the time when he gets in a decent position his decision-making is woeful. Or just non-existant. Not sure if it's a confidence thing or if he just doesn't see the full picture quickly enough. But either way he's been very disappointing since he came. We talk about needing a target man up front but I think we equally need to strengthen in the wider positions.

On Quest Colin Murray reckoned that there was very little contact and therefore the penalty
should never have been given. His opinion didn't matter, because Cauley put the ball in the
net, so we would have still been given a goal, unless of course Wycombe had been awarded
a free kick for what the Ref might have seen as a dive by Thomas.

I was surprised that they didn't even offer a viewpoint on their spot kick. I've watched it a few
times and like others have said, even though both players end up in a heap inside the box, from
what I can see, the initial coming together, occurs on the edge of our box, so it was no penalty
as far as I was concerned.

In that case then it's very poor from you to bring his mental health into question when plenty of folk read this bored and it could spiral like Chinese whispers.

Everyone who plays poorly will have their game questioned - Walton, Anderson, Frieser, Chaplin and Thomas have all had stick from posters this season. Some warranted, some not. Thomas has probably had it more than anyone apart from Mads because his performances have been very inconsistent.

If you're his mate or his relative or whatever then I quite understand you jumping to his defence constantly, but to infer he's suffering from mental health issues could be damaging to not only the player himself but also to posters on here who could suffer the same.

What if Frieser and Chaplin are suffering from mental health issues? How dare you say that they've been terrible, you don't know what they're going through.

    See, it works both ways.

Yes through himself on the ground nearly backfired as Cauley had put the ball in the net from open play.
