I'd welcome him back - particular when I see the alternatives that have been mentioned like Appleton.
Would you?. Perhaps if you ignore the 226 games he managed Bristol City at this level from 2000 to 2004, where he got them to the play offs on more than one occasion and ended with a total win percentage of 47.35% Compares well with Mellon's 2 games at this level.
Number One for me. I usually think that going back is a bad idea but I think Danny would be a great choice for these reasons: 1. On the whole, he would be a popular choice as manager 2. The fans would probably give him a bit more time that most other managers because we have seen what he has done before 3. He does have a good record. He was unlucky at Bristol and at Sheff U. He did well at Hartlepool too. It's a bit of a myth that he has a bad record - its quite the opposite 4. He plays attractive football 5. He's a good manager. I've been lucky enough to speak to a few players that have worked under him and they all say the same. 6. He has something to prove. 7. He wouldn't be expensive 8. He wouldn't demand a huge budget 9. He knows the club 10. He won't leave (ironically) at the first given opportunity. After what happened last time, I am pretty sure he would stay very loyal 11. He knows league one well - there's a good chance we will go down - he will be well placed to get us back up 12. He has an eye for a player on the cheap - Charlie Austen, Arjan de Zeeuw just to name but a few I have nothing against MM. He comes across well in interviews and I can see him being a decent manager. I just think the time is right for Wilson to return. If we start getting a few positive results under him then I can see some real momentum building. The atmosphere that we saw under his regime would start to come back. To be honest, I'm a bit p'dd off that he hasn't been given the job already.
Ha Ha!. I've tried - I can't find it. You're going to tell me it was L1 right?. I'll shurrup then. Wibble (Still for right man for me though )
