You don't need to do that

All you need do is wait until the lift is a few feet from the floor and then jump up in the air. The lift bites the dust while you're in mid air, thus avoiding you taking any of the impact

RE: shareholders effectively decide what to pay themselves

Ok shareholders don't, the board however does. The point still stands.

Patrick Cryne should be upping the wage of all box office staff then. Why should they be on low wages when he is rich? It isn't fair

    But if you manage

to jump up at the same speed as the lift is falling then you are falling at 0 mph surely. Come on, i've seen Bugs Bunny do it!

RE: Why do you always try to do that?

Firemen, nurses, teachers et al - all in line for a Windy bashing when they ask for a pay rise. Why is it you always do that yet never find the time to critisize people earning far more?

They aren't "bullying us out of more" money, because it's not technically, our money.

No, you're right. Clearly there is no significance and bearing in what different workers of the same company receive in pay rises.

    How silly to suggest otherwise.

    Firemen - undeserving.

Teachers - joking. try to keep up.

Nurses - total fabrication on your part. (Not for the first time this week.)

Correct, in this case, very silly. Especially as you've already been told they're not part of the same company you daft ****.

    Risky.

I say always use a lift with a fat person, get them to lie on the floor, stand on them, cushions the impact. Sorted

Or even better, get more than 1 fat person just in case

Im sorry, i don't read everyone of your 300,000+ posts on here. How are your roids by the way?

Shell still coughs up the money at the end of the day.

No, just a different opinion to yours. Of course it cost the tax payers, big time, but the real losers were the miners, no salaries for a year, and their ultimate aim of halting pit closures ended in failure....WALLY

    You're right, you don't.

And yet you still arrogantly claimed to know my opinions on everything.

Thetanker drivers' employers may invoice Shell but that's not what you said is it?

Wrong on both counts. Your wriggling's making me cringe.

    RE: But if you manage

Let's say the terminal velocity of the lift is 100mph and you manage to jump at 30mph. You're still going to hit the lift floor at 70mph and that's not taking into consideration that some of your effort will go into increasing the speed of the lift. It's far preferable to use your emergency powers and fly out.

The point of withdrawing your labour is to cause as much disruption as possible in order to make the employer accept your demands. If it had no effect there wouldn't be any point.

    RE: You're right, you don't.

I don't claim to know your opinions on *everything* - but yes, you're quite right, on this occasion it was a guess based on what i thought i could remember. Still, your attitude toward certain groups of people is fairly consistent, whilst against others its entirely non-existant. I await your first 'anti-Shell frothing session' with due diligence.

Correct, Shell still ultimately pay the tanker drivers, they are still refusing to increase their payments, so your attempt at diversion doesn't matter that much.

    Oh you'll recover im sure.
