I'd forgotten that well known established Championship player for whom we have to wait ages for a work permit.

But at no stage did I say he must "be crap"
The legitimate point I make is that he has never played at this level, therefore it will probably take him time to adjust, time that we don't have as we need someone who can come straight in and do a job now. Even with O'Neill Thompson, we still don't have enough defenders.
