Yes, got 2 of their LPs, Spanners & Bytes, both recorded when warp records was run from their shop on West St in Sheffield. They are still going, but line up as changed. Not really listened to their recent output. This period stuff is up with some of the stuff from Detroit around that period.
Yeh shame they moved to London. (Was on Division st btw) Which Detroit stuff d'yer mean ..not Detroit Techno.?? Was listening to some Stuff by Ritchie Hawkins /plastikman etc recently, I think hes from that way, more mid 90s ..altho more electronica/acid/etc than old skool Detroit Techno. I see autechre and aphextwin are still on that label Orb and Orbital in sheff in October and December
Yes, the techno stuff from Detroit, Carl Craig, Jeff Mills, Underground Resistance, Octave One, etc. Hawtin is still very popular since the scene moved more minimal in Berlin. Aphex Twin still puts out good stuff on there, Nightmares on Wax were doing so till recently, who are based up here in Leeds. I know them quite well. New Orbital stuff sounds as good as their early material, I's check that out. I'll thrown in an old UR track for the kind of techno track I like.
Some great eclectic soul / funk there. If i play records out that is more like the stuff i play. One of my mates is reopening what was Browns in Barnsley, under it's original name, Temple of Muses & going to be doing odd gigs down there. Not sure whether will be vinyl or digital, (depends on set up and what they want me to play). Would be good to get some BBS'ers down.

Just bought this LP on orange vinyl. One of my top LPs as a youngster. Clash, Jam, Kinks, Blondie, Ramones, etc...
