    What about Rothermore's family and their favour of the nazis ?

    I don't think it is fair to compare the current Viscount Rothermore for his dead family's views (although he is a tax dodger)

    nor do I think that Ed Miliband should be judged in the same manner

    Well from what I remember he thought the USSR was a workers paradise, maybe he woke up and smelled the coffee later on in life.

    Those articles look pretty much like they were from the time in question.

    I was to teh right, I'd find the Daily Mail embarrasing, unless I was completeley hard of thinking.

    Clearly you didn't read them properly as someone with a masters in political and economic theory Milliband clearly rejected the oligarchical nature of the Soviet Union. As The articles Jay quotes point out. This position was consistent. Too much time in the bar not enough studying.
