You'd have to direct that question to Mr Cryne or his directors. You do realise don't you, that he'll do as he sees fit no matter what you or me say?

I've already stated my issues with Danny in a different thread. He isn't immune to criticism. If we were going to change manager, we'd have done it in May. No way has Cryne allowed Danny to rebuild the playing staff, appoint his own staff etc, for him to then sack him off after a late defeat at a club we've not won at since 2002.

    I am a liar. I'm discussing the idea with him, aren't I?

To be fair though, we haven't played there since 2006. Lost 3-2 and Colgan threw a couple in as a I recall.

"These lads suggesting Danny has to go must have an ulterior motive"
To be honest I think its just the utter frustration of losing games to teams we should, if we believe we are making progress, be beating.
Port Vale had just lost 6 on the bounce and yet turned us over quite convincingly by the sound of it.
The fact that Adams has quit is no excuse. If we aspire to be showing tiny steps of progress these are the games we should be picking up points from.
The Lads who continually follow the Reds on the road are spending good money only to be continually let down time and time again.
    Hence the reactions on here.

We've only lost 1 game on the road this season, Port Vale was the first. How are they being let down time and time again?

I go away and performances and results are much better. First defeat yesterday and we got hit by the sacked manager effect it happens regularly not just to us.

Despite getting the odd point, our performances are leaving a lot to be desired.

Buy the quality of the displays on show.
Personally iv'e only witnessed 2 games this season and one was away at Yeovil, the first 20 minutes of that aside, it was absolutely shocking stuff where we couldn't even carry out basic passes properly.
People want entertaining at some point and judging from the responses on here from yesterday, it was quite the opposite.

Sorry but that doesn't cut it for me.
Fulham got rid of Megath but Blackburn turned them over yesterday cause they did a professional job on them. From reports we were comprehensively turned over. It just aint good enough sorry
So much for the sacked manager syndrome.

So it's not a regular phenomena? Look at Flitcroft when he took over for evidence of a **** manager running a **** team getting a bump. Of course it is don't bend the facts to suit your agenda. Fulham had a player sent off.

So, results away from home aren't enough. What we demand is entertaining football and to be smashing the opposition every away game.

Personally, I'm delighted with our away form. I want entertaining football at home, but all that matters away from home is the result. Wilson could play 8 defenders every game for me if it produced the return we've got from our first 5 away games. The Port Vale result was disappointing, but that has been more than made up for by coming from behind to win against Crewe and twice coming from behind to draw against Coventry. If, by the end of the season, we only lose every 5th away game it'll be a brilliant season on the road and I'll feel anything but let down. 4 defeats away from home would be even better than the promotion season to the Premier League.

What we've got to do is improve the home form, but as we've only played 3 home games it's difficult to judge how it's going. We'll see in a month or two.

Not bending any facts just stating them
As for Flitcroft,I agree he lost the plot, but I have not seen any team Wilson has selected show the same passion or desire as they did, even if they were ****!

I agree it is early days, but the signs are not good.
If we played 8 defenders behind the ball in away matches than that negativity would ensure I never attend an away match again until it changed.
I pay money to be hopefully entertained, not frustrated.
Just my opinion and one i accept that will be disagreed with.
    Thats the beauty of debate

The signs look OK to me. Good away form, one tonking at home to probably the best side in the division, but we still scored 3 goals, another where we destroyed the opposition and could have scored even more, and one tight game, first day of the season, when the squad hardly knew one another. A game I don't think we would have lost had Jennings not been sent off, unfairly imho.

I just don't see any signs of the doom and gloom that you'r referring to. Well, I do, but it's from a minority of fans on here who are banging the drum, not from the team. We're not setting the division on fire, but with a brand new squad of so many young players I never expected us to at this stage. We've a game in hand on a lot of teams, and 4 of the next 6 league games are at home. The time to start analysing how we're doing will be after those games. We'll get a better idea of what we're about. But it won't be settled; whether we're in the play-off places or the bottom half of the table there'll still be good and performances, victories and defeats to come because that's what you get with a young squad. A squad that almost everyone agreed is what we wanted.

He grabbed their lad by the throat. Nailed on red card. Yes, he was the lad fouled initially, but that's the point. Don't react like a wally. Chances are their lad wouldn't have been sent off anyway, but we'd have kept 11 men on the field.

Still think Crawley deserved to win, mind.

Tim Howard grabbed Diego Costa by the throat and got a yellow, so you're wrong it isn't a nailed on red card.

    Don't bother jay.

If we were the top of the league. Won every game 5-0 some on here didn't want wilson and won't ever warm to him. Your putting very decent points across but its all in vain.

    He can't go yet

he needs at least another couple of months to qualify for his BFC manager long service certificate!

Pretty much this. Pushes, grabs and the like are open to interpretation by the ref. Some get nowt, some get a yellow card, some are sent off. Even players that strike an opponent aren't always sent off.

IMHO Jennings jumped up like he was going to smack the bloke but then reigned himself in. He gave the ref the option to send him off, which he shouldn't have done, but I still thought the decision was harsh and I've seen players get away with far more violent actions. The tackle was worse, far more dangerous and far more likely to cause injury that Jennings' reaction.
