Keith has been called many things on here but virus is a first I think? The statement is just regarding the football club attempting to secure full control of the Stadium by buying shares currently owned by RMBC and the RFL.

Probably true but the most apt description of his time at BFC. His negativity infected everyone.

How come the Rugby Football League own part of your ground?

Basically Rochdale Hornets sold their ground back in the day and agreed a groundshare at Spotland. For their money they got a 45.5% share of the stadium, Dale got 45.5% and RMBC acted as the 3rd party with the remaining 9% and The Stadium Company was formed. When things started going tits up a few years ago for Rochdale Hornets they loaned money from the RFL and put up their 45.5% share against the loan. They went bump and the RFL got the shares. This was all done without Dale's knowledge apparently but going through the courts would be a long and expensive process so we just got on with it. Now we are trying to get back full control of the Stadium (including sorting out a longterm lease for the Rugby club) so they can stay as long as they pay their way.

Regarding Keith - all Dale fans would just agree to disagree with most Barnsley fans views of him. Obviously things didn't work out here and it wasn't the club for him (we had the same with John Coleman who worked miracles at Accrington but just didn't fit at Dale). What he has achieved with us with next to no budget and next to no fans is a football miracle. He's reinvented us 5 or 6 times now through developing players and making them better and selling them on each season. I didn't think he could better the last team he had in League 1 when we finished 9th - and maybe he wont - but early days suggest this is our best squad of players ever. Looking forward to the 4th October and hope you beat Swindon this weekend so plenty of fans come over to say hello to Hilly.

The sad thing is that at times we did play good football when it wasn't all about possession at all costs which generally meant McNulty to goalie to Wiseman to McNulty etc etc. The other sad thing is that he totally failed to engage with BFC supporters and was wide of the mark with his "history books" comments. We got sick to death of hearing about money, tight ropes, broken legs, over-achieving blah blah blah. Football is about dreams and KH didn't allow us to dream. It seems he can at Rochdale, but god help you if you went up....

It would be a miracle too far were we to get promoted - really cant see it as although we are doing great without a traditional striker with Done and Henderson excelling themselves - there's no real backup after them. Had we still had a fit Scott Hogan I would have been very hopeful of the playoffs. Luckily all of our lads signed deals at the start of this season so if by an amazing chance we did find ourselves in the Championship ( seriously its not gonna happen) we should hopefully keep the squad intact.

I think Keith has mellowed since his experience at your place - we had fall outs a plenty the 1st time round, even when we had success - but since his return he is a very happy chap - he is at his home now.

Happy because it's going well, mate. You've never really had to witness Keith as manager of a consistently **** team that lose every week. He's a different bloke then. And as you know from your own forum, I'm a big fan of his. But I'm honest n all. I hope you don't lose all the time, so then you keep this happy image of him.

We have had our bad runs - obviously not to the extent of yours when he was here - but he has always got over it for us. Our 1st promotion ended with a run of 1 win in 9 games to blow the league title. Play off season when we lost to Gillingham we ended awfully also - with 7 games to go we went top with an away win at Wycombe then ended up 7th in the last playoff place. Our low expectations obviously help also - how we have never been out of the league in our existence beggars belief taking into account our crowds and resources. Up the Dale.

8 games in and that was our first away defeat - to a goal in the last minute.
Bloody hell get a grip, I can remember whole season's when we didn't even win an away match.
Even that 5-3 defeat to MK Dons doesn't look too bad when you consider they're the top scorers of the 92 have beaten Man U 4-0 and Crewe 6-1.
Other than that - as anyone outclassed us?
Win a game and you're on the edge of the play-offs, los one and you're where we are now.
You have to give it till Christmas at a bare minimum.
