An apology from me after, 'You really are a horrible person"? Direct quote BTW[/QUOTE]

That was after you'd told him he didn't care about anyone.

I might take that kind of attack personally (actually I wouldn't cos i know who and what i am).

    Anyway, it's up to you.

Apparently telling the truth makes you evil but spreading lies means you're representing a minority opinion.

I have disagreed with you on much of the covid response and its effectiveness, but I have always found you a reasonable person to debate that with.
You also offered me some personal support in a time of need that I am grateful for.
I'm not getting involved in this particular point of contention either way.
I just want to wish you and yours well and I hope things turn out well for you.

Exactly. Its like telling a vet they hate animals. Sorry but I'm not going to take it and it's like a red rag to a bull. It is out of order.

Utter rubbish. Where are my lies? You've being making up garbage for two years. My favourite quote from you after you were slagging people off time and time again was that, actually, Covid hadn't made difference to your life at all. When people are dying because they can't see a doctor.

You're very welcome. I respect other's views and I get how certain restrictions last year really damaged people. I am worried about the impact of all this on GP accessibility in particular and other illnesses.

What I won't stand for though is unsubstantiated lies and then being abused for it when I've posted 4 or 5 different articles from different sources to the contrary. Misinformation is extremely dangerous. We saw what happened with the supposed MMR/ autism link back in the 90s and the impact that had on children at the time.

And I've lost my rag tonight because I'm massively stressed out and being called appalling was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Jesus, do you keep a notebook? That's seriously scary.
I'd say that was posted some time ago and was said in truth because we live in a very remote location so lockdown was little different to normal.
I think you'll find that ALL my posts on the subject have been made precisely BECAUSE people were dying.
You really are a very disturbing individual at times. I do my best to have as little interaction with you on here as possible to the extent of periodically having you on ignore. I'll probably do the same again.
You piled in on this in support of what were, at best, inferred lies and you just hate being proven wrong and lash out as usual.

Again Nonsense. No, I don't keep a note book, but when someone says something so insensitive it resonates. And again, you've done exactly what I've accused you of, used the majority view to try to belittle a minority view by calling me disturbing. You do it all the time, everyone does to anyone who speaks out against this agenda that you have, that only covid matters. I've got a tough personality, I can deal with this, how many people have you pushed away from this forum with this kind of rhetoric? To make it conform. I can tell you, lots. I'm standing up against it this right wing rhetoric. The things you say aren't OK, they're not even close to OK.

Churton's another reasonable poster I'm afraid, mate.

Far more reasonable than you or I.

    Right wing rhetoric?!!!
    Seriously!
I don't care how tough or not tough you are. You dish out abuse at exactly the same level as anyone else on here. Quit playing the martyr. You're really not. And if anyone leaves this board because they are challenged about posting outright, dangerous lies then so be it. You stick with casual tyke though.

I don't deny that when he's speaking on football or politics or whatever happens in the news. I don't at all. He's charming and intelligent and worth reading, whether you agree with his point of view or not. But on Covid he's not. And many reasonable people on all other subjects are not either. I didn't use the term 'banality of evil' lightly. The whole point is that something has gone wrong and perspective has been lost.

I took on Casual Tyke on Trump just as vociferously as you, and I think you probably know that.

    And again, thankyou. Jay.
I try to always see the middle ground. There usually is one.
On covid I've always felt that everyone needs to make sacrifices for the greater good. Simple as that.

    No and thank you.

But not so long ago, just by way of example, you were adamant that there was unlikely to be a vaccine available for a virus.

It turned up pronto. And has worked wonders.

People aren't daft on here. They respect those who talk sense (as you often do) but they don't forget when they don't . Nor should they.

Well you've taken the wind out of my sales now and I can't argue back.

@TitusMagee FFS Man, look, I know what I'm what I'm like, I know what I can come across as, don't stop posting, just don't. Or if you do, do because you want to, not because anything I said. I genuinely do have serious reservations about what is happening, and I'm very reactive to this forum because I don't believe in the general consensus, I think it's totally wrong and I think it uses the power of numbers to belittle anyone with an alternative point of view. But I do think you care, even if I disagree with your opinion, I do think you care. But I am also allowed to defend myself.

    I apologise.

While I do... You all speak about me about me like I'm deranged and delusional and a bully. I'm one one of only a couple of people who speak out against the majority view on here. I've posted on here for over 20 years. Do I appear irrational, do I not have a reasonable point of view, am I a duggy? And yet the attempts to discredit me on Covid are constant, I am someone to block, I am someone to discredit. Is it at least worth thinking about that?

What do you think should happen with a worldwide pandemic Jay? We just carry on as usual and stick our fingers in our ears? Let it spread like wildfire, we've seen the results of that in Brazil.Just let people die of covid at home struggling to get their breath so we don't block the hospital wards for other patients?
Back in the day if you had TB you went to a clinic, mumps and measles to an isolation hospital. As we get to grips with Covid, the need to isolate so extremely hopefully will no longer be a thing but 1500 deaths approx compared to 150, 000 approx might validate Australia 's stance?
