How old are your kids?

I don't have kids. My sister had three, but she died, so I was heavily involved in them growing up. My best friend is a single father, so I literally never go out without being surrounded by kids who are not mine. Adding more is not a problem. And I can assure you, no one is going to spot someone who is diagnosed with autism as opposed to the rest of us who already know we are but don't go for the diagnosis.

In all seriousness, if you ever want to come out, just give me a shout, with or without your children.

You don't have a monopoly on being emotional. My girlfriend has had a joint funeral for her parents today both of whom died very unexpectedly within a few weeks of eachother. I have had to spend the past several weeks holding her while she cries herself to sleep every night, which I can assure you is truly heartbreaking.

Both of her parents were in their mid-fifties with no previous health problems. They were both double vaccinated and both died from heart attacks caused by blood clots. I have nothing more than anecdotal evidence but you will not sway me from my belief that the vaccinations were a contributing factor in both of their deaths. I sincerely hope I am wrong because, if I aren't, then I expect many more of my family and friends could die in similar circumstances over the coming months.

This is why the lucky ones - like me now I'm old and can afford it - should pay more tax to keep those troubled ones safe and sound.

It will be incredibly tough for your girlfriend for the foreseeable, but hopefully there'll come a time that when she remembers her parents she'll think of the good tikes and not the pain.

 

I suspect there will come a time when she can focus on the good memories but for now her world has completely fallen apart. She had two hours between knowing her mum was feeling unwell and finding out she had died having lost her dad in similar circumstances just a few weeks earlier.

No-one in their mid-twenties should have to lose both parents at the same time and I dread to think how long it will take her to recover from the absolute desolation she is going through at the moment.

Here here, agree with all this.im sick of seeing the same names bullying and belittling people who don't share their view , you know because they are right.

 

Having seen the interchange between you and Titus, and based on previous threads you have 'contributed' to I curious to know why you seem to have so much pent up anger, especially over things you have no control over. You rapidly turn debates into full on war and cpmments like " I may be wrong but very rarely am" don't exactly help your case.
Pages of this thread have deflected from the OP into a full on war of words you seem hell bent in focusing on something TM highlighted that is not really up for debate i.e. the number of unsubstantiated claims touted as facts by a minority that have resulted in conspiracy theories surrounding Covid and measures (albeit some misguided) taken (or disregarded) to protect the public. The levels of comparisons, and language used by some on here ... e.g. Nazis, is absurd.

I cannot believe you would make the same comments and statements face to face as you do on here. Chill man.

 

OK so I'll throw my hat into the ring on this one. I think it is fair to say that someone who has been a health professional i.e. nurse for a number of years as a vocation, IS better qualified to assess the validity of medical papers than a lay person, which presumably, like me, you are. I would also add that it is nurses that keep teh hosipiatls running, from triage, to administering and distributing prescribed medicines and treatments as well as monitoring patients. Without them the NHS would collapse. The competence levels obviously vary as they do with GPs and medics. Example .. my daughter's locum GP told her that her claim that her diet of dairy (she was breastfeeding) was causing my daughter problems was " nonsense" until she pointed out that the proteins would be passed from her to her daughter in her breastmilk, something he had apparently 'overlooked'! . Another example was a nurse at the clinic telling her that all the shop bought antiseptic creams in tubes she ever used for cuts and grazes were useless since once opened "they were no longer sterile" completely misconstruing the difference between aseptic and ANTIseptic.! Doh!
Like I said, they are extreme examples but there are many instances every day where very experienced nurses charge nurses actually discretely guide junior inexperienced doctors towards diagnosis and treatments.
