I disagree that the mesage is in any way anti immigrant. Howver you have hit the nail on the head in that people struggle to differentiate between two clearly seperate messages.

This is due to people making scandalous slurs and blurring the clear distinction, in the same way that you did in your earlier post. Discredit the argument by muddying the water with accusations of racism deflecting completly from the true argument.

like it or not, imigration is vital for this country. we are an aging population (i know i am!). who's going to do all the work when were a nation of pensioners?

what's the alternative? an army of vicky pollards sponging away raising 16 kids each? and how many kids brougt up that way end up doing the same thing? not all i know, but if there aren't enough people willing to take essential jobs what do we do about it?

i agree we can't have an open door policy, that would be ridiculous, but to treat all imigrants as spongers is just plain wrong.

I do think your fundamental flaw is that in being pro-immigration you will alienate Eurosceptics, and by being Eurosceptics you will alienate pro-immigration. Most people who can see the benfit of immigration can appreciate the benefits of being part of the EU.

I do apreciate the benefits. But I fail to see how these must come hand in hand with giving away our democracy to an unelected super bureaucracy.
We can work closely with our European friends and neighbours to maintain the benefits of European integration and cooperation whilst also maintaining democracy.

This could easily be achieved via multi-national agreements within Europe, a European court to act as arbitrator could also be maintained in some form without the neccessity to pass more and more sovereignty to a bureaucratic dictatorship.
