RE: MARK ROBINS - whichever division we're in. nt I would put money on Robins being the next manager.....
scuse me, but I was first http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/fo...osts=6&highlight=ince&highlightmode=1#M880736 ahem.
Mark Robins, Paul Ince, John Sheridan, Paul Jewell, Kevin Keegan Fair enough the last 2 maybe are not realistic targets but whoever is appointent should fetch such as Taggart/Redfearn in a coaching role
Although Robins has done well, the last manager we had with similar credentials was..... Steve Parkin.
If we sacked Davey, who would want him? Let me turn your question around, given that Davey is clearly the next Wenger, tell me, if we sacked him tomorrow, in your heart of hearts, tell me, please, who would "snap him up" as their manager? I mean.....really? Man City? Real Madrid? Davey has spent 2 years speculating with unproven players at the start of each season, and having to spend transfer windows drafting in loan signings to plug the gaps from his ill-thought out purchases. By which time we are already in relagation dog-fights. Do you really think this pattern is going to change next season if he stays?
Surely you have to concede that he's quite good at getting in useful players for modest amounts from far off lands. It seems to be his tactics that people question together with (to a fair degree of speculation) his man management skills, suggesting that he can only go so far with a club. So if these observations are true then he could do a job at a club with a poor squad.
