That's not true. He pays for his season ticket and gets to the games whenever he can. Are you sure you aren't confusing him with Michael Parkinson?
Errrr no they aren't and no they can't. Buy a book. 'A retards guide to the Law' would be a good one. Then find someone to read it to you so they can explain all the long words.
He hasnt achieved anything of note that would get a stranger to clap him for him turning 80 years of age after previously acting in a rude manner to that person. So yeah maybe you are right I dont apprieciate his so called achievements. Also I'm not a cricket fan, im not a fan of any game that can go on for 5 days and still end in a draw!
I would neither applaud or boo him, I worked at his home before i moved abroad, and can say he was just like any generic old man, neither a lovely person or anything special. Although I don't see the point in boo-ing i can't say i would have any problem in people doing so
Always think he comes across very well whenever he's on TV, seems a genuine bloke who loves the town. Now had it been Parky that might have been a different matter. We applauded him and couldn't understand folk booing.
To be honest Ive got no interest in or liking for Bird at all, and its good to see some others also think the same and are willing to post that on here. But when it turns to booing and insults against him though, when hes at the match and 'supporting' the same team as we are, thats wrong and it annoys me as well.
