    It wasn’t just clapping, there was also a big shout of ‘You Reds’ like there is at the end of any silence or applause. Nothing will top a guy near me talking twice during the last post though and making the trumpet noise alongside it at times.

    Spot on Tony. We've had a couple of occasions where a minutes silence has been requested. Think it was the previous one to this. Where a lot burst into spontaneous applause. Everyone then joined in, even the players. At no stage did I think it was in anyone's mind they were being disrespectful. Would rather have that, than half and half so to speak. I would prefer the request to be observed but I'm not going to vilify those that don't when carried away with the crowd. As to a degree same applies to those that chanted after the last post. But then everyone observed the minutes silence.
