Flamingo Land? Always thought Bolton was Rotherham anyway. Wath, Swinton, Mexborough - all Rotherham. Put us out of our misery mate.

    Another clue

............the people of Mexboro and the Dearne could see it............... and smell it

By the way..........this particular area has notices up from Barnsley Council and it is well east of Bolton

There is actually a road in Bolton where you can stand on the corner of Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley

    Yep..........The Maggot Farm

    ..........near Harlington.
Furlong Road..........this side is Barnsley............tuther side of road is Doncaster

They have had elephants and giraffes and all sorts of animals in there. They got a whale but couldn't use it so they burried it in the grounds.

No its been shut for years

..........I think thats the reason why nobody got the location right when the thread started.
Also people from TARN area seem to think they have left the district after they go passed Camps Garage.......they haven't

And..........it wern't my intention to have such a long thread about a whales grave........FFS !!!

Re: No its been shut for years

Barnburgh and Harlington are in Doncaster, Bolton, Goldthorpe and Thurnscoe are in Rotherham (google it), so you weren't in Barnsley wherever you were standing.

EDIT: You were within the borough of Barnsley but in the post town of Rotherham or Doncaster.

The post town only reflects where the mail is delivered from, Royal Mail have no juristiction over addresses. If it's in the Borough, it's in Barnsley - see my other post in the thread if you want the boundaries.

Amazing how often this question comes up!

The town you live in depends on..........

    ..........who empties your dustbins

Bolton on Dearne is Barnsley dustbin land
The place I was standing is at the end of Bolton, Low Field Road farm track........at the other side of the road is Harlington. But this side of the road where I was stood is still Barnsley.

Re: The town you live in depends on..........

Bolton has a Rotherham postal address and has Rotherham 01709 telephone numbers so it is confusing.
