Important point to note Don't tell the wife and kids that this major life changing decision is being based on some imaginary friends on your computer.
RE: Lifes too short So the Missis threw you into the garden for 2 weeks like. Dint let you back in the house at all? Still, a comfy armchait in the shed isn't too bad a place to kip.
RE: Lifes too short Good mate thanks. The old girl is on the mend nicely. Should be out next week. Cheers
RE: Exactly Yeah your right. I can only just manage to squeeze the ride on mower into it. Mebbies I should park it in't stables like.
Ride on mower? good point, I'll suggest that to my man. Ive noticed that the gardens getting too much for him lately....
Take the money and run Plenty of jobs out there. Last time I was made redundant it took me 2 weeks to find and start a new better paid job. Take a few weeks off, get thi CV tarted up and contact some recruiting agencies.
I was given no option and got my redundancy package end of march. Since then I have set up on my own, 3 months in I'm still hoping I've made the right decision and I have days where I think this is going to be a great success and days when I think what have I done - and nothing calm in between. I've planned what my options are - and I know when the money runs out - then it's time to go back to a proper job, commuting and everything even though it's not what I want. It's going to be down to what you make it - whether it's a success or not for me we'll see but at least I know I've done something for me. If you don't go now what is the option, will you be forced out later with a lesser payout or is your job secure.
