    Important point to note

Don't tell the wife and kids that this major life changing decision is being based on some imaginary friends on your computer.

    RE: Lifes too short

So the Missis threw you into the garden for 2 weeks like. Dint let you back in the house at all? Still, a comfy armchait in the shed isn't too bad a place to kip.

    Take the money and run

    Plenty of jobs out there.

Last time I was made redundant it took me 2 weeks to find and start a new better paid job.

Take a few weeks off, get thi CV tarted up and contact some recruiting agencies.

    I was given no option

and got my redundancy package end of march.

Since then I have set up on my own, 3 months in I'm still hoping I've made the right decision and I have days where I think this is going to be a great success and days when I think what have I done - and nothing calm in between.

I've planned what my options are - and I know when the money runs out - then it's time to go back to a proper job, commuting and everything even though it's not what I want.

It's going to be down to what you make it - whether it's a success or not for me we'll see but at least I know I've done something for me.

If you don't go now what is the option, will you be forced out later with a lesser payout or is your job secure.
