RE: Maybe........ How is it the same for both teams?
There are differences in preparation and one team may be fitter at this stage or more fatigued due to having a tougher training programme than the other side.

(wicked)

RE: Maybe........ So what are we saying then. That if we lose to sides who prepare differently and don't train as hard as we do it doesn't matter. It's going to happen after 11th August. All the teams in the Championship aren't going to prepare in the same way that we do and may not all train as hard during the days prior to matches. What a load of tripe you do talk sometimes.
We have played against the standard that Odayji is used to so he should be scoring, lets hope he can continue against Championship Defences.
I am far from doom and gloom........... http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=77798&mid=496950#M496950 Yes it was a shock to see it put on the official site so soon
RE: Maybe........ I think you should read my post again.
Where did I refer to the Championship? Like many others on this board you have gone off at a tangent.
My comments were aimed at the Pre-season and this mornings game. You know that's what we are doing in Portugal preparing for the new season.
(wicked)

Re: Butterfield ? Jacob Butterfield is a second year accademy student. He plays in the centre of midfield and is a playmaker rather than a destroyer like Wroe etc. He is probably the best prospect of the second years although some of the defenders are also very promising. He is not ready for the first team yet as he is not physically strong enough. Nevertheless, the fact that he has been taken to Portugal shows that he has impressed the manager in training.
RE: Maybe........ Do you seriously believe that the best way of preparing to do well in the Championship, is by losing to alledgedly inferior teams in pre-season training? By the way, I did read your post accurately and I did not go off at a tangent. You posted a load of tripe.
Look at our pre-season record in the premier league promotion year, i think we lost all but one game! So your point is? Pre-season makes a season?
