    Yeah I've seen some bad pre seasons but this one has to be the worst. Been saying my fears for a while but it gets defended by many on here.

    A lot can change in the next two weeks and hopefully will especially with regards new players coming in to the club but at the minute it feels like we’re going to be under cooked come the 5th August.

    Ultimately today was only a friendly & all about getting fitness levels up. But we are woefully short in defence, the two young lads James & Casper aren’t going to step up straight away, they need to be introduced gradually, we still need a Mads replacement, otherwise we are going to be playing catch up yet again. Oli Shaw doesn’t seem good enough, so sadly he’s not the answer, hopefully the Watters deal gets sorted out. We could do with 4 players in on loan, quality not quantity.

    Doing everything last minute management won’t figure out their best side until 5-10 games into the season. It’s frustrating it seems we have to do most things the hard way it’s been glaringly obvious for weeks what’s required.

    Watters gets done another defender in and you still think 4 more in on loan? So 6 players in?

    For me we need a center half, possibly another in on loan, watters and a replacement for luke thomas a player who has some pace and can run at a defender because bar Cole we don't have that.

    Well he sold our 2 main center halves and then if that wasn't enough he sold our top scorer 4 days before the window shut and every player he brought in had 0 experience in the league we were in.

    Loads of variables in a transfer though. Even free agents nowadays (looking at Debrah seemingly not agreeing a deal with anyone).

    Sounds like we’re close to a few that should hopefully be completed early next week. Hopefully that will be Watters, Dallas, O’Keeffe and a centre back.

    Certainly looks an eventful game that one.

    Never like to react too much to friendlies, whether it’s a big loss or a big win. They’re there for players to get minutes and fitness.

    Hopefully the Watters and Dallas deals will be completed early next week to get them in to prepare for the season. A centre back with a bit more experience would be nice too. I did like the look of James and Lopata against Hull but not sure if they’ll both be able to step up and play lots of games.
