I'm not sure its relevant mate - if Perkins isn't fully fit, which I don't think he is, and additionally if Digby isn't fit either which I don't think he is, I don't see too many alternative central midfielders for us to play in a 3-5-2 system. I wouldn't want Mellis & Cywka together in central midfield as part of a 3. Therefore Dawson has to start if thats the system we're using - and it looks like it is to me.
Course he does. Played well last week, Perkins is struggling for fitness. One of them will always play, they provide the energy
Dagnall was quality last week. Never known a player get so much undeserved stick. Course he starts. Dawson was also quality last week, so why would he be dropped, and for who? Think Kennedy is the only one lucky to retain his place. As for Pedersen, he was never going to start. Only been int country a few days and like I say, Dagnall was quality last week as was COG who scored twice. McCourt on the bench is a bit strange, though. And where the **** is NOBLE-LAZARUS??? "Reubs is due for a start" said Flitcroft 2 weeks ago... Pissed me off as that.
If Perkins is fit enough to be on the bench then he's fit enough to start. My preferred midfield three would be Perkins, Mellis and Etuhu. I'd rather see us play someone out of position instead of Dawson. That's how bad I think he is.
Quite like Adam Brammer's tweet saying "Fair play to Mark Stokes for giving Pedersen's missus a lift to the game. Taking one for the team..." Aye, I don't think she'd have been short of offers!
