    seems they do not want to pay his wages

    53 goals in 147 games , that's an average of 18 per season... he got 31 in one season... I reckonhe is definitely worth it. Just wonder if some other team may outbid us at the eleventh hour.

    just can,t see it happening, why would he leave vale for us, if its money I,m sure theres plenty of interested parties with more than we can offer, the lad is quality at this level but lets face it, it isn,t like the strikers we have are missing chance after chance, the fact is we are just not creating anything....

    If we have chance to sign him we'd be silly not the take it. Its a big lad upfront with experience people seem to be crying about and hes proven at this level.

    He's 29 and taking out his time at the club he supports and adores he's had 109 apps and scored 21 goals at this level. I'll be pissed if we're paying a fee for him.

    That's still 10 a season average, considering he's a target man, and his record at vale, he's worth a fee.

    Aye, but remember we sign goal scorers and turn them naff - Sheron, Biggins etc so I'll reckon he'll be on a par with Hemmings.

    Payton, Hendrie and Ward did ok for us as goalscorers. He's atarget man though primarily not an out an out goalscorer. Him and Winnall would make a good combination if it comes off

    29 years old and 53 league goals, pretty much all at 3rd and 4th tier level - he's not exactly Paul Wilkinson is he?
