City youngster, central midfield. Going out on loan to a championship club today by the sounds. sounds like a player we’d go for.
Definitely not got any senior level experience what so ever though. At least Benson had played some Premier League games.
Been linked to Sheff United. https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foo...yle-linked-with-sheffield-united-loan-3365596
Has made some sub appearances for first time in Prem, League cup and Champions League. Not as much as Benson granted but he only made 6 appearances for Burnley himself
There's a bit of an obsession with experience from some fans and I know the manager also mentioned it however, we didn't need experience to completely dominate QPR for about 60 minutes. A few more players with similar quality to what we have is more required than just experience imo.
Sorry, was only looking on Transfermarkt for this season! I think most fans buy into number of games played rather than age when looking at experience now. for me, I'd rather have a young player who's played 80 first team games on loan with an option to buy than a 30 year old who's best days are behind him.
Looks like the lad could be a good acquisition. With Pep speaking so highly of him, he must have some talent. A ball winning box to box player - perfect if we swap to a 41221 with him at the base of the diamond and Romal and Josh either side.
Most depressing thing I've read. I thought it might be Mike Doyle's offspring. But no. It's his grandson. I'm officially ancient.
I don't understand why we wouldn't keep Kane aswel, strength and depth off the bench and the inevitable injuries and suspensions throughout the season
It looks like nearly all the Championship are after him.WBA,Blades,Boro,Swansea to name a few. Sounds a real talented player.I'd rather sign somebody like him than a journey man.
im not sure its an obsession but more of an observation that seems to be the same as how the manager sees it. Experience alone doesn't solve any problems but i would like to think it would have helped see out games like the QPR one. Taking any football out of the topic they might have helped us slow things down, break up momentum, talk the younger guys through the close out and draw fouls etc. Its another dimension.
I assumed Kane would be going to make way for a more ‘experienced’ midfielder, as Schopp kept alluding to. Not sure a kid from City fits that bill.
