that's got nothing to do with cleaning hospitals though. As I'm sure you're also aware, the bills the government were facing for the costs of running public transport, maintaining it or upgrading it far exceeded what people were actually willing to pay for it. The whole system needed a massive overhaul, mainly for health and safety purposes. The country could no longer afford the burden of it.
I know it hasn't got owt to do with it.... I was providing a similar example... ie, the cleaning of hospitals was contracted out, and this is down to the contracts on how they are cleaned, and to pull them back under NHS control (so to speak) will probably be a minimum period like the public transport rule... it all depends what was in the contract, ie what gets cleaned, to what level, how often etc etc, these contracts don't necessally include, you must do this or that, so in that sense will need variations to contract and probaly re-negotiation etc etc its all ****** really....
RE: I know it hasn't got owt to do with it.... I know but contract cleaning and buying mops is somewhat different to building new trains and that. 15/20 years was probably the time it would take for a private company to see a reasonable return on major investment into the public transport infrastructure.
Just one question Who is this Tony Blair, have we released him cos I can't find his name on the list of released players? If we have released him, who can we replace him with?
RE: Just one question Nah he was a coach at New Lab Wanderers, when he was a player hestarted on the left wing and throughhis career he moved to central midfield and at the end he was right midfield.. although he was known sometimes to play out on the right wing.</p> I've heard Gordie " chopper" Brown is the new lad. He's a bit dour andmakes Sir Alex look open and friendly. Unlike Wenger when gordie shuts one eye he genuinely "didn't see it"</p>
Despite a number of bad decisions (the Iraq war being the main one - fairly obvious in advance how dumb an idea that was going to be), I still think Tone is alright. He does seem an intelligent and genuine bloke, which is more than what many countries are lumbered with.
