When will the penny drop coaches/ managers who are any good will not come to Barnsley fc while these people are in charge
He's not my cup of tea either, but I'd certainly say he's an improvement over Schopp and Poya, regardless of our style of football mate. He'd never come though
TBH I'M wondering if our best bet would be somebody like John Terry, been coaching, wants to get into management. He's a 'name' so could probably attract players in, got fire in his belly so wouldn't take **** from our players or the opposition, might even influence a ref or two. Don't particularly like the bloke but way better than another unknown from abroad imho.
It doesn't matter who gets the gig...nothing will change...the owners are the problem.... until they go, its wash rinse and repeat ....unfortunately khaled and Co will be where the velocity of the flack heads
If we go British based then look at current U23’s or u18’s managers. In fact a good bet would be an ex Man City U23’s manager who is highly regarded, has connections with Khaled, non other than Paul Harsley who was once at the club. That’s the calibre we’ll be going for, & of course don’t rule out another random foreign name.
He's recently said about how much he wants to focus on his work/life balance, missed a lot of his son growing up etc etc. Wouldn't be surprised to see him out of the game for a bit
He'd be great. After the useless appointment of Owen Coyle who the fans would never take to because of his Burnley links he got them promoted at his first attempt and had a very good season despite missing key players like Dack for most of it. He likes clubs with basketcase owners so we could actually stand a chance.
Please, but why would he come here? Although he did go to Rovers which although not in our league, were a basket case of a Club.
All of whom couldn't wait to get out of the door when the reality of working for the Barnsley FC board struck home.
i didn't say he would. I’m just asking opinions on if people would see a fit. i think this board has no ambition and a worrying sign is that as fans we are adapting at setting our own ambition and expectations to that low level.
