RE: From this day forward everything you say will be summarily disregarded. Now who is narrow minded and blinkered?!
I think I see how it works. Anyone who thinks your daft American sports are **** is narrow minded and blinkered.</p> You'd get along well with Acky. Anyone who doesn't share his naive view of the world has no conscience isn't "a decent human being."</p> Ice hockey my arse.</p>
RE: I think I see how it works. No - just the fact that because I like something different to you, that you say you'll dismiss what I say. Hence saying that because my opinion differs to yours that my opinion isn't valid - that is narrow minded. Yet you saw fit to say the same about me when I said I didn't like something. Hmmm! It was a posting for what people's personal favourite sports are, not a debate on them. If you don't like them do you think I really care?
So if someone points out that you're talking ***** they're narrow minded? That must make you, the man who desribes the Stone Roses as "overrated Manc' tossers," the only broad minded person in the world.</p> Either that or you talk *****.</p>
RE: So if someone points out that you're talking ***** they're narrow minded? That's a nice bit of bait you're dangling there, old man ff
It's opinion! Don't you get it?! You call someone narrow minded because they don't like something you do, but you actually say you will discount someones opinions from now on because they like something you don't.
RE: I think I see how it works. Ice Hockey originated in the UK and is in fact now recognised as the national sport of Canada. Archie Stinchcombe from Cudworth captained the GB Ice Hockey Team to Olympic, European and World Championships in the 30s & 40s. My son has ambitions to follow in his footsteps. Already being North Midlands English 2005/6 Champions, Geleen International Tournament 2006 champions and currently leading the league, at only 7 years of age, hockey may mean a bit more than your arse to him. Just my own personal point of view of course. By the way quite ironic that 'blinkered' view comment. Archie Stinchcombe achieved all his success with just one eye.
