That figures, 15 nil - nil draws and we've no chance.

I think we'll keep picking up wins and the real test will be when we have to win to achieve a goal.

Think Brentford will fail in playoffs if they don’t get automatic and our game in March against Bournemouth could be pivotal to decide who finishes 6 th . Either way it’s great to even be talking about playoffs

Think most of us are on the same wavelength with this, but the more we win the more we will adjust our expectations.

I would have been worried about opponents in the playoffs, but IF we did make it we would have similar records to them and as we’ve seen, no crowds are a great leveller.

On paper our run in looks favourable in comparison to the teams around us, I know it counts for nothing but I reckon most teams around us would swap fixtures with us at the drop of a hat, of course it would be a fantastic achievement to get in the playoffs but I also think it would be to finish just above midtable, because that compared to previous seasons would be an achievement ( imo)

I've read that also, but I'm like " we are not the only team allowed to do this" nothing stopping other teams with bigger budgets, more expensive players doing the same

If we play the remaining 16 games and achieve 32 pts like last season, we’ll have 77 pts.
Sixth place got 70 points, so .....

You know what I meant! 1-0 wins are fine but a big improvement in that GD would be nice. It would be a shame to miss out because of that

Maybe I'm stupid, but I think we'll do it. We're in fantastic form and we have a very favourable fixture list.

    I'll go one further, I think we'll get 5th.

But this is the old ‘we’ll get found out eventually’ response.

It’s obvious to us what our success is based on; but other teams aren’t us, they have their own med and long term strategies, they’ve based their buying and coaching on doing what they think is the best way for them to play.

if you’ve ploughed £10m into a ‘fox in the box’ striker, expecting him to press high and just be a part of a 6 man rotation isn’t likely to improve your teams performance.

The rotation works because it supports the high press, it’s more than just randomly chucking on ‘fresh legs’.

Our relative success under VI is on the back of a few years of building a young energetic team and coaching them to run their blood to water. He’s added discipline and a higher press.

Of course other teams could do the same thing! But it’s not the only proven winning formula, and there’s no reason to think it’ll become the most common. We’ve a squad built around a very specific way of playing, the sub bench isn’t just our next set of fit players, it’s genuine replacements for those on the pitch.

We don’t need to change shape dramatically when we put subs on (which is the more common scenario), it’s always like for like.

Think Reading could drop out. Leaves 1 place to fight for but I think Cardiff will nab that

I think we've an excellent chance of automatic looking at our fixtures having Norwich, Reading, Middlesbrough and Bournemouth to play. Unfortunately football isn't played on paper. 11 wins against the other teams and we'll go close.

I genuinely think at least 2 of the current 6 won’t be there come the end of the season. I’m fully expecting Brentford to bottle it again (becoming the new Leeds) and Bournemouth too.
Cardiff will be thereabouts, but remember our game in hand theoretically has us 7th already.

Loads of variables; one game at a time, but I’d be surprised if we miss out on the top 6 by a long way.

We are only about 2/1 to finish top six so betting companies are obviously taking us seriously.
    We can do it !!!

I agree DR, my point is that the pundits and some other fans see what we are doing ( ( 3 subs at a certain part of the game) as some kind of unsporting like thing, we are working to our strengths as a young fit squad, rather than commending VI for his tactics and game plan many just say " yeah but you bring 3 subs on, predominantly strikers " yeah, and ?

Would be a remarkable achievement. We'll need some luck with injuries. I think we've only had the Cardiff away game where we could say we were weakened by injuries. Would need that to continue.
