The club keep on failing to read the room don't they? Just add it to the long list of issues. Bring back Timerider and why didn't the announcer announce the players were out for the second half? People were still coming up gangways a few minutes in to the second half.

The music was dire from start to finish today. I'd never heard the walk out music before, but it was dross. Didn't get the crowd buzzing at all.

    What? No Cocoon?

I’m very nearly glad our lass has dragged me to Wembley to see bleeding westlife - Timerider Cocoon is our thing.

Top gun? ******* sweet Caroline? I’m old enough to remember when you could go to a sporting event without that being compulsory listening… I mean I don’t want to dislike the song, but I’m getting there.

For me, the opening to the fanfare of the common man, then cocoon. That’s us.

Get it sorted by Tuesday 16th reds.

I can remember the experiments with Heroes by Bowie and stuff.

I don’t imagine Everton dropping z cars or Newcastle Local Hero.

Give Pete Waterman another ten Bob and sort it out

We do seem to try and get rid of Timerider every few years. Who is it that dislikes it? It's clearly a fan favourite, a club tradition if you like. There's an uproar every time we try and change it.

I still prefer ELP's Fanfare for the Common Man (1980s?).

I simply don't understand why this load of sheit has become associated with football.

I think it’s popular in football now because it was overplayed at the England games at last years Euro tournament. Never been a fan of the song myself or of Neil Diamond. Always found him cheesy. The song itself has usually been associated with Baseball, believe it’s played a lot at Boston Red Sox games.

Whilst we’re on the subject of annoying cheesy songs at Oakwell though, I have to throw I Love This Town by Bon Jovi into the fire. We’ve been playing this song for what seems like absolute years now and every time I hear it I think I die a little inside with the amount of cringe just emulating from that song.

It’s just a really bad song IMO, I don’t know anyone that likes it. Why we started playing it in the first place is beyond me when it’s literally an unreleased album track. Just so random. Bon Jovi’s songs have always been dogsh’t to me though, gotta be honest.

It’s such a weird decision to make. They know fans like it because it’s had to be brought back so many times and it was the song voted to be ‘our song’ at Wembley (which brought on proper goosebumps). It makes you wonder why someone keeps trying to impose their unpopular decision. They never even pick good songs to try replace it with.

Think the census is clear. Can someone at the supporters trust genuinely raise this with someone at the club next time they get chance if it’s not changed back for next home game?

Well I didn’t miss Cocoon, the only way we should keep it is if it gets remixed to sound less cheesy. I’m sure some local musician & engineer could do a good job. Just imagine, Cocoon but with some sick sounding guitar sounds!!!

Anyway, whatever replaced it was also not very good.

Don't get the obsession with timerider. We're a club stuck in the past and need to get with the times!
