Not at all. I didn’t say anything that could give off that impression. I can’t say I know how good he is at his job, as I’ve no idea, but it wouldn’t be good to break up the coaching set up. My point was more the fact that it’s a bit of a no-brainer for him personally, in my opinion.

Well deemed embarrassing to Norman Rimmington anyway but yeah something like that

I was more alluding to your comments a good few years ago, about some weeds around the parameter of the pitch being embarrassing, during pre-season. It was tongue in cheek. No idea what you’re getting at, if I’m honest.

It is reasonable to conclude that Winkler was probably on his way before the new Huddersfield manager accepted the job.

It seems unlikely that Siewert would not bring up the matter of his staff options before signing, nor have suddenly decided to pick Winkler as an option once he'd kicked Martin from Wakefield out of his office.

It'll have all been brewing for days.

The same thing. It was Norman rimmington who said the weeds were embarrassing. People had a hissy fit when I said they were embarrassing but didn't realise it was Norman rimmington who had complained about them, called them embarrassing and insisted they be cleared.

No wasn't a dig at you, was just stating that surely people would see that Town went down because of poor pre Christmas results, not because of anything the new management team does.

Money talks at the end of the day. They will be able to increase his wages considerably. No threat of the sack at end of season- what happens if the arse falls out of our season?

    I know what I'd do!

That's an easy decision to be fair given Barnsleys record of selling off the silver. Although this is probably beyond the club's control on this occassion

All we can hope is that he is loyal and the board have sold their long term plans to him. Fingers crossed.

If the club have given permission to talk to them, that is a clear indicator he is interested and the club is willing to let him go

Tomorrow will tell. Let’s see who they send to do the presser in the morning.

"Jan, from what I have seen we are short of goals. There's this young lad we got from Fulham...……….. The owners will listen to any reasonable offer...….."
