I’d hope he’s thinking that what was described to him during initial discussions is what is occurring.
In which case why has he taken the job? Hardly putting himself in the shop window. Will part of him be hoping that Burnley start off badly under Company? I'd be looking for an out already.
Due to the huge turnover with the playing staff (with more to come before September 1st), I'm happy to cut Michael Duff some slack at the beginning of the new campaign. After what happened in 2015/16, Barnsley fans should know from past experiences not to be too quick to write off our team. If we don't hit the ground running, I'm happy to show patience and give Duff time.
It’s up to him why he joined and only he knows how it was pitched and what was suggested or promised. Once we’ve the deficit under control, we should have a bigger budget than a good number of fellow league 1 teams.
Me too. I'm just thinking is he slightly mad or has he been brainwashed by Khaled with some sort of Jedi mind trick?
Completely agree with this. What happens on the pitch in the first few months isn’t the most important thing to me. We’ve got to get on an even footing, and personally I’d rather do that in one go now than a slow dragged out cull. But it will be what it will be.
I think he was made aware of the club's financial situation, which players would be realistically moved on, the available budget for incoming transfers.
Must have some bo llocks then. I like the guy. He's the first I've liked since Val. Normally a good sign if you ignore my comments about Asbaghi. Don't know what possessed me .
This may have been a shot in the dark on my part, but I wondered at the time whether you'd been partaking in the odd Babycham or two!
One of my favourite comments in BBS history. Along with a certain St.George 'slayed' BBS moniker who once promised to 'bare all' on the town hall steps and never did.
It might have been after the Swansea City game at home when I'd been drinking all day and the match kicked off in the evening.
