I think so too. I'm surprised at how bullish the statements coming out have been though. Several "the aim is promotion" comments and whilst of course they have to aim high, I'd be very surprised albeit delighted, if we're anywhere near it and I think feeding the expectation is unwise. If we start badly I suspect there may be discontent.

Won't the consortium take their 1 million back straight away.
    Woodrow 1 million, 8k a week wages,
    morris 1.5 million 6k a week,
    brittian 1.5 million 3k a week,
reckon 4 Million in transfer fees, 17k a week wages, also adeboyajo, 100k and 1k a week in wages, can't be far off surley.

I hope he will ultimately be backed in the positions he wants strengthening without us overspending in excess of that budget.

There doesn't appear to be any consideration for sell-on clauses from previous clubs in any of these valuations.

Woodrow didn’t have one for the value we sold him at, and from memory didn’t we end up paying more up front for Britain without the sell on/future clauses? Might be wrong there.

No idea on Morris but don’t recall any announcement at the time from Norwich, and with Bury they don’t exist anymore for Styles (do they?).

Be surprised if there’s anything in the Helik deal but you never know.

Just to be clear - Fulham had a sell-on clause, but it only kicked in above a certain value, you are aware of that value, and you know how much we sold him for?

    What are those figures?

Well reported fees were Morris 2 million and Brittain 1.5 million and couldn't see anything for Woodrow but would imagine 500k. So like a few mention around 4 million but I doubt all that upfront either. Says 3 million upfront, so still 4 million to recoup with Helik and Styles.

Huddersfield sold O'brien to forest, similar player to styles, reckon they could come in for a go.
Not sure what Huddersfield got paid for O'brien but we should want half of it at least.

Looks to me that people are still hugely over-estimating things. Particularly interesting to see how folk who (often rightly) shoot Nixon down in flames for absolutely anything he says now seem to be falling over themselves to believe his wildly speculated Brittain fee is right/close when more reliable Lancashire journalists have said it's a good bit below a million and only has a chance to touch a million if every one of the conditional add-ons is met down the road. The other thing is the continued double counting in wage savings - you can't save Woodrow, Morris and Brittain's wages from them leaving and also get the percentage reduction for relegation on top!!!

Wage bill was £14m wasn’t it? So £2.8m if everyone was dropping 20% which is the standard drop.

I just used a £2m figure based on the fact Morris and Woodrow likely represented £750k a year.

You’re right on double counting on the second saving though which inc. the £500k for Styles and Helik.

If the OP means money in now for the transfer fees i would estimate around 3m. I would think there may be additional clauses, sell on fees.

im not sure how much actually makes it to our bank balance given any other sell on clauses we pay. Also i wouldn't expect agent fees on us for outgoings.

there is still an expectation of Collins, Helik and Styles outgoing and i would like to think that is another £5m but more likely now to be nearer 3-4m.

looks like the ‘no fire sale’ has become a fire sale. Im ok with that as i always felt we would see every player, manager, asset and flatbread as available for sale.

One section of MK Dons fans claiming they’ll benefit to the tune of £300k.

The owner being less excited with ‘there’s a little bit in the deal for us. Not that much though’

But first 7 million is to cover revenue downfall from relegation apparently. But then you have to speculate to accumulate or so they tell me

We've done a heck of a lot of speculating. The accumulating isn't quite following suit.
