    I know it's rumours but we need central players if we're playing a diamond, not wingers. Unless the diamond was only employed by Struber because of the options he had available to achieve the best results in the circumstances.

    Maybe Struber wants flexibility to change the system from time to time. This is the third winger be have been linked with. Jordan Jones from Rangers is another, but you would bank on his going to Boro, as he is from there. Switch to three at the back and wing-backs, or just 4-4-2 with wingers? Who knows, but there is a consistency about the players we are looking at.

    It doesn't normally get out who we're after. So the more it's speculated the less I'm interested. Chaplin and Mcgeehan are the only exceptions in recent years. That info was leaked by other clubs though. Portsmouth said we were after Chaplin when they sold him to Coventry and Luton leaked the info about Mcgeehan just after his broken leg.

    Absolutely. I think the club let the media believe what they want too. Like how Doug O'Kane said yesterday that we're not interested in Lyndon Dykes, but Andy Giddings has said today that 'no further progress has been made'. They're the two journo's you'd expect to be closest to the club, and even they've got different info on the same transfer target.

    The Woodrow one has the potential to rumble on all summer with him having two years left on his contract. It could be a will it, won't it situation like with Kieffer Moore. The Mowatt one I can see being wrapped up quickly either way. He's a year to run. He either signs or he's sold. You can try and replace accordingly then.

    In the first line of the tweet, he says we're 'not close' to signing Dykes. Which insinuates to me that he believes we're interested in him. Which is different to Doug O'Kane.
